Ediz Hook 5.8 miles

Ediz Hook, pronounced edd-iss hook AKA Cline Spit and  known to the locals as the “spit”, is an easily accessible, narrow strip of land jutting out into the Straits of Juan De Fuca. It provides spectacular views of Port Angeles backed by the Olympic mountains. Just a short drive to see some local views do some bird watching or just enjoy the beach. 

Place Road Beach 13.3 miles

 This beach is at the mouth of the Elwha River which has since the dam removal project, been developing into a large stretch of sandy beach. The beach is frequented by surfers, birders and beach combers. It is an excellent place to enjoy watching the often spectacular sunset.

Fresh Water Bay 15.9 miles

Freshwater Bay County Park provides covered picnic areas and restrooms. While the tide flats make it less than ideal for larger boats, the launch is well used by small boats such as sea kayaks. There is an abundance of sea life and sea cliffs to explore.

Salt Creek Recreation Area 19.5 miles

Salt Creek Recreation Area has a lot to offer! Explore the designated marine life sanctuary tide pools filled with anemones and other sea creatures, WWII bunkers and nature trails with views of the sea cliffs. Premier birding, Kayaking, biking, scuba diving, beginner surfing, swimming and sightseeing are just some of the things to do.
